LA Weekly caught up with in a Q&A, asking the record producer turned R&B singer if it has been difficult to move from being a behind the scenes guy to a celebrity and subject to gossip, most notably his brief marriage with that resulted in their daughter Violet Madison Nash. “Mmm-hmm. I love it, though,” the 34-year-old said. “It’s great. I’d rather be the guy that doesn’t hide. I’d rather you pick holes in me. I get to be the literal face of what a man is, how he succeeds, how he fails. I’d rather be all those things than just casting a light that’s bright and shiny. That ain’t me. Several R&B artists are sharing their thoughts on Twitter following the news that had been found unresponsive in her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday afternoon and declared dead after paramedics were unsuccessful performing CPR on the singing legend. Houston was 48. Among the Tweets:

Christina Milian Blasts Report Linking Her To Shawn Costner

and her mother visited Elsa Belai’s Secret Society party at Aurum in Atlanta on Thursday night (August 5), where ’s ex-wife was joined by Universal Music exec Shawn Costner. “Now I’m not saying that the two are a couple, so please don’t quote me,” Sandra Rose said on her blog at SandraRose.com, which has several images of the pair. “But that’s the word I’m hearing. Christina is known to only date influential industry men who can further her singing career. Costner is The-Dream’s best friend and this might be CM’s way of getting back at him.”

But Milian blasted the speculation moments ago, telling her Twitter followers (@CMilianOfficial):

and secretly wed in Las Vegas and continued the celebration in Rome with a private ceremony for friends and family held at the Hilton Hotel on September 13th. The couple kissed as the paparazzi snapped after they were dropped off at the airport by a Rolls Royce. The couple is also rumored to be expecting.
