Faith Evans talked with Tim Westwood on 1Xtra about Biggie, Tupac, East Coast vs West Coast, Lil Kim, the ‘Notorious’ movie and her new album. “It was a pleasant surprise,” Faith said about ‘Gone Already’ getting a Grammy nomination for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. “Number one being an independent artist. You know, it’s been years since I’ve been out with new music. And then, my album wasn’t out before the cutoff, but my single was only out for a couple of weeks before the actual cutoff. So that’s wonderful to be recognized.”
