Blige, Lionel Richie, T-Pain, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Akon, India.Arie, Brandy, Toni Braxton, Natalie Cole, Faith Evans, Melanie Fiona, Jamie Foxx, Tyrese Gibson, Anthony Hamilton, Keri Hilson, Gladys Knight, Mya, Raphael Saadiq, Trey Songz, Musiq Soulchild and Robin Thicke were among the stars who participated in a recording of the remake of the 1985 charity single ‘We Are The World’, written by Lionel Richie and the late Michael Jackson. The artists joined up on February 1st in the same studio as the original 25 years earlier (Henson Recording Studios, formerly A&M Recording Studios). India.Arie Wins Best Urban/Alternative Performance Grammy
India.Arie attended the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday (January 31). The singer celebrated her Best Urban/Alternative Performance Grammy, telling her Twitter followers (@Indiaarie):

Strange Ending For John Legend’s Concert In Berkeley
John Legend checked in with his Twitter followers (@johnlegend) after performing at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, California on Sunday night (September 6), where he was joined by India.Arie. Legend writes:

It was India.Arie’s last show on the tour. Much love to her. She was the perfect special guest to have with us. We will miss her much.
Berkeley was great tonight. It ended, umm, strangely. The stage is too easily accessible from the audience and 2 people ran up at the end
Security lapses aside, it was a beautiful night, and I’m glad we recorded it.
Yeah, some girl just ran up behind me while I’m ending Ordinary People. She hugged me and said I love you. She got arrested afterwards.
Then, when I finish the encore and take my final bow, I start walking toward stage left and another girl runs on stage to hug me.
And I never have a good answer to the interview question, “What’s the weirdest thing a fan has done to get your attention?” Now I do. Thanks

India.Arie Ready To Release ‘Testimony: Vol 2′ In 2 Weeks
India.Arie checked in with fans on her e-mail list on Wednesday (January 28), talking about the upcoming release of her fourth album. The Atlanta, Georgia based R&B singer tells readers:
Well we’re almost there. In exactly 2 weeks, February 10th, I get to share my latest TESTIMONY with you all. TESTIMONY: VOL 2, LOVE & POLITICS has been a long time in the making and it feels really good to know you’re all about to hear what I’ve been living and feeling and learning And in the words of a very wise southern preacher, “You can’t have a testimony unless you’ve been tested.”
I’m SOOOO excited for you to hear the new songs. In fact, for the past few days I have been in the studio rehearsing them all with my band and singers. When we recorded the songs we used a live band to lay down the tracks (which was a wonderful experience in itself,) but it is an amazing feeling to experience these songs coming alive through the musicians and vocalists. I can not wait to share them onstage.
Hopefully you have already heard my duet with Musiq Soulchild, “CHOCOLATE HIGH” and my single “THERAPY” featuring Gramps Morgan from the group Morgan Heritage, but if you haven’t or if you have (LOL) call your favorite radio station and request them! LOL! I’ll be hitting the road soon, so keep an eye out for me. Keep checking back on Myspace and Facebook to see what I’m up to.
