Mary J. Blige Banks $2.3 Million Selling My Life Fragrance On HSN
Mary J. Blige spent Saturday on HSN, selling a staggering 50,000 bottles of her My Life Mary J. Blige Eau de Parfum, which included a clutch set. The fragrance and bag were only available on HSN for the day, costing $46.00. One dollar for each order was donated by HSN to support FFAWN’s work to empower women in their personal and professional lives. So while Mary J. banked likely a large percentage of that $2.3 million in sales for the very high profit margin product, the $50,000 HSN donated to FFAWN was the focus of her updates to her Twitter followers (@maryjblige). She writes:
I know it’s early but I’m on hsn at 10am through the rest of the day so I’m getting ready 4 that. It’s gonna be a long day.
For my fam that’s late, I launched my fragrance on hsn this morning, it’s called My Life and I’ll be on all day!

Blige, Lionel Richie, T-Pain, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Akon, India.Arie, Brandy, Toni Braxton, Natalie Cole, Faith Evans, Melanie Fiona, Jamie Foxx, Tyrese Gibson, Anthony Hamilton, Keri Hilson, Gladys Knight, Mya, Raphael Saadiq, Trey Songz, Musiq Soulchild and Robin Thicke were among the stars who participated in a recording of the remake of the 1985 charity single ‘We Are The World’, written by Lionel Richie and the late Michael Jackson. The artists joined up on February 1st in the same studio as the original 25 years earlier (Henson Recording Studios, formerly A&M Recording Studios). Mary J. Blige attended the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday (January 31). The singer joined Andrea Bocelli in a performance of ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ by Simon & Garfunkel at the awards.
