Usher checked in with his Twitter followers (@usherraymondiv) on Tuesday (April 10) after a false internet hoax surfaced that he had died in a car crash. The 33-year-old R&B singer writes:

Several R&B artists are sharing their thoughts on Twitter following the news that Whitney Houston had been found unresponsive in her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday afternoon and declared dead after paramedics were unsuccessful performing CPR on the singing legend. Houston was 48. Among the Tweets:

Usher is featured in News of the World’s Fabulous magazine, where the R&B star talked about being the man behind Justin Bieber’s global success. “Justin had a God-given talent long before I got involved. My involvement was to guide his talent…as long as he has a mentor like me, he’ll always be a student,” Usher remarked.
The 32-year-old also revealed to the British publication that the children of another star also benefited from his tutelage. “David [Beckham] called me a few months ago asking if I knew anyone who could teach their sons to breakdance…they came backstage and showed me some moves,” Usher shared.
Keri Hilson stopped by Cee Lo Green’s new show ‘Talking to Strangers’ the other night and the two chatted about how Keri manages to balance her professional and personal lives. Keri later treated the audience to a performance of her hit ‘Pretty Girl Rock’ and Cee Lo surprised her on stage.
“I like to have my cake and eat it too,” Hilson said about whether she prefers songwriting or being an artist. “I really can’t have one without the other because being an artist was my first dream. Songwriting was my plan B, and I learned to love it. I never even knew it would take off as fast and as far as it did. I never guessed I would write for Britney Spears and Mary J. Blige, who I grew up… Usher, Chris Brown.”

That’s what makes the song a very honest record for me. I was really in that place at that time. At that very moment, everything I sing is exactly how I was feeling.
