Babyface’s Newest Sounds ‘Clinical And Distant’

Jim Farber of the New York Daily News reviewed Babyface’s new album ‘Grown & Sexy’. Farber writes, “…for music that means to be all about intimacy and connection, the stuff sounds awfully clinical and distant. Babyface’s instrumentation can be coldly synthetic. And his melodies amount to play-by-numbers R&B. Ultimately, it’s all as formulaic as a soap opera, and about as believable.” The full article at nydailynews.com has since been removed or relocated.
