Beyonce’s Beyond A Child Of Destiny

Glenn Gamboa of New York Newsday reviewed ’ solo debut ‘Dangerously in Love’, which for some reason he’s referring to as ‘Beyonce’. Gamboa writes, “The first four tracks on ‘Beyonce’ are undeniable – as inventive and buzzy as anything from Destiny’s Child’s heyday… What drags ‘Beyonce’ down, however, is her decision to add a string of ballads that get progressively worse until we reach the good-intentioned, though better-left-unreleased tribute to her father/manager Matthew Knowles, ‘Daddy,’ which includes lines like ‘I want my unborn son to be like my daddy/I want my husband to be like my daddy’.”
