Beyonce Knowles hinted to Marie Claire she may put her singing career on hold to focus on acting. “I’m over being a pop star,” the former Destiny’s Child star explained. “I don’t wanna be a hot girl. I wanna be iconic. And I feel like I’ve accomplished a lot. I feel like I’m highly respected, which is more important than any award or any amount of records. Lisa Van Allen: I Had Videotaped Sex With R. Kelly & Underaged Girl
Lisa Van Allen testified during the R. Kelly child pornography on Monday that the R&B singer took her to his former home on the North Side of Chicago, where she met the alleged victim for a threesome. Van Allen also claimed Kelly carried a duffel bag filled with homemade sex videotapes wherever he went. “Wherever he was at, the [duffel] bag would follow,” said Van Allen, who was the final witness for the prosecution.
Kelly’s business manager Derrel McDavid responded to Van Allen’s charges through a spokesman saying, “Lisa Van Allen is an admitted thief and a liar, who wouldn’t know the truth if she tripped over it. The Sun reports Blake Fielder-Civil has been getting visits by a mystery blonde while in jail, and the junkie has reportedly been plotting with the woman a scheme to run away with her after securing a chunk of wife Amy Winehouse’s $20+ million fortune. “Just say the word and I’ll dump Amy,” he told his secret lover. “I love you more than I could ever love my wife. Alicia Keys is offering up some interesting conspiracy theory in the new issue of Blender magazine. “‘Gangsta rap’ was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other. ‘Gangsta rap’ didn’t exist,” the 27-year-old singer insisted, showing off a gold AK-47 pendant around her neck “to symbolize strength, power and killing ‘em dead”. She added that the East Coast vs. West Coast hip hop feud was fueled “by the government and the media, to stop another great black leader from existing.” Blender said Alicia’s mother responded to the news by saying, “She wears what? That doesn’t sound like Alicia.”

At the MusiCares event at the Convention Center in Los Angeles, Aretha Franklin was in full diva mode, according to a New York Post source. The Queen of Soul “refused to have Alicia Keys or Mary J. Blige perform,” fearing she’d be upstaged, according to a source. Instead, a “C-list lineup” of Corinne Bailey Rae, pianist Lang Lang, BeBe and CeCe Ledisi, and Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi provided the opening entertainment.

News of the World reports Amy Winehouse spent the night at the trendy K West Hotel in London with producer Mark Ronson, and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil is said to be furious with the troubled singer. “It’s the last thing Blake needs to hear right now. He’s furious about how close they are,” a friend told the British tabloid. “Blake’s fearful that Mark has much more in common with Amy than he does and is worried he’ll steal her away.” Blake is currently being held on charges of perverting the course of justice.
