‘Dangerously’ Sounds Like Destiny

Thor Christensen of the Dallas Morning News reviewed ‘Dangerously in Love’, the solo debut by Destiny’s Child star Beyonce Knowles, giving it a grade of B-. Christensen said, “Like so many radio-savvy singer-songwriters, she covers all bases. At its best, the CD is a Whitman’s Sampler of R&B-pop… But the low point arrives in the CD-ending ‘Daddy,’ a goopy tribute to her father-manager that features lines like ‘I want my unborn son to be like my daddy’ and ‘words can’t express my boundless gratitude’.”
