Did Alicia Keys Double Deal On Book Deal?
‘Celebrity Justice’ reports that according to court documents, Putnam Books has offered Alicia Keys a million dollar, multiple-book deal advance that will include a book of poems and lyrics penned by the musician. But now Lukeman Literary, a Manhattan-based book agent, has hit Keys with a lawsuit, claiming it helped the singer obtain a million dollar book deal with publishers at Bantam Dell. Lukeman claims that Alicia then went behind its back to negotiate a similar deal with rival publisher, Putnam, cheating her Lukeman agents out of their 15 percent commission on what could become a bestseller.
