Sean Piccoli of the Sun-Sentinel reviewed the opening night of the ‘Ladies First’ tour, which sold out its inaugural date at the Office Depot Center on March 12th. The lineup included Alicia Keys, Missy Elliott and Tamia, Destiny’s Child star Beyonce Knowles and even her boyfriend Jay-Z made an appearance during Beyonce’s ‘Crazy in Love’ performance. He writes, “The attraction of the Ladies First tour is the opportunity to see four women with complementary talents, and enough hits between them to fill an hour of Top 40 airtime. But the reality, at least on the tour’s first night, was mixed. Apart from the delayed set starts for Beyonce and Keys, this felt like a program of great moments and missed opportunities — a production not entirely at ease with its many moving parts.”
