Heather Headley On NPR

The Tony Award-winning actress has a debut R&B CD out and talked with NPR’s Tavis Smiley about it. Heather says the CD is a lot of work, but because she was on Broadway, she’s used to the tough schedule. She admits she underestimated the music world and hopes people will make the cross with her. As for the sentiment that she has sold out, she says Broadway was her foundation and she wanted to branch out — be versatile. The interview audio, which included audio clips from her ‘This Is Who I Am’ debut, has since been removed at npr.org.
