Joshua Ostroff of the Toronto Eye reviewed the Lauryn Hill tour stop last Sunday (July 28th) at the Hummingbird Centre. Ostroff writes, “Unfortunately, her rejection of the music industry also includes hip-hop. Her only real rap was ‘Mystery of Iniquity’ and while she seemed off at first, soon Hill was right back in the flow, dropping metaphysical lyrics like she was born to. It was a taste of what could have been and may still be. But for now, L-Boogie has left the building.” The full review at eye.net has since been removed.
