India.Arie Performs At 46664 South Africa
India.Arie performed at the charity concert “46664 South Africa” at the Fancourt Hotel & Country Club on Saturday (March 19) in George, South Africa. The event was the second, with the original hosted by Nelson Mandela in Cape Town in November 2003. The campaign raises awareness of the global HIV/AIDS pandemic, as well as funds for South Africa with proceeds going to the Nelson Mandela Foundation. 46664 represents Mandela’s prison number during the 18 plus years he was imprisoned in South Africa’s Robben Island jail.
