India.Arie Prepares For Grammy Awards
ABC News caught up with India.Arie ahead of Sunday’s Grammy Awards and asked her what everyone wanted to know. Her mindset going into this year’s show having gone 0 for 7 at last year’s bash. “I always had an ideal in my head about what awards are and what they’re not,” she said. “It was kind of like, ‘OK, so you say you’re doing this for the music, strictly for the music and all this other stuff doesn’t matter? Well we’re going to test you and see if that’s how you feel.’ And it is how I feel. I’m thankful for the lesson, Very thankful.” This time around she’ll have two shots at Grammy success with her latest album, ‘Voyage to India.’
