Sarah Rodman of the Boston Herald reviewed Macy Gray’s show at Paradise on Wednesday night. Rodman writes, “When Gray played the Paradise on Wednesday night, prior to the May release of her third album, ‘The Trouble With Being Myself,’ it was fun, but definitely missing something. The mostly white crowd was politely enthusiastic. It wasn’t just that the giddiness of the new was gone. Those ill-defined sparks that carry a show from good to transcendent were just out of the grasp of the singer, who seemed to go off the rails a bit during the encore.” Bostonherald.com has since removed the review.
