Jazmine Sullivan Discusses ‘Need U Bad’, Missy & Lauryn
G.Child of 1Xtra caught up with Jazmine Sullivan during the R&B singer’s recent visit to London, where she talked about her first single ‘Need U Bad’, working with Missy Elliott, never singing over a reggae beat before that track, having a record deal at 16 with Jive that “didn’t work out but ended up being a blessing”, and being “definitely influenced” by Lauryn Hill, prompting her to belt out a few lines of ‘I Used To Love Him’.
