John Legend Interviewed At The Democratic National Convention

John Legend talked to ‘The Early Show’ co-host Harry Smith about what inspired him to write about political urgency. The R&B singer songwriter performed ‘If You’re Out There’ at the Democratic National Convention on Monday night (August 25). Legend said he had met Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama a couple times. “I think he’s a great man,” Legend said. “I think he’s a great leader. I think he’s a great thinker. And he’s inspired a lot of people and I think he’ll make a great president.” Watch the segment, aired Tuesday, below.
