Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland credits her manager, Matthew Knowles, for the idea of doing her debut solo album, ‘Simply Deep’. As for the rock influences on the album, Kelly told the CBS Early Show earlier today, “I wasn’t sure about it at first. Then he was like, ‘It will be great. You can mix it with some R&B.’ Basically I just put all of my influences on one album. And I just hope that everybody loves the album as much as I loved recording it.” Kelly also gave props to Beyonce Knowles’ sister Solange and talked about the success of ‘Dilemma’, and how she can’t wait for DC3 to get back to work.
