Hilson talked about how she started writing songs at 12 years old, feeling more fulfilled after songwriting led her to her dream of performing, feeling blessed about her all-star collaborations, being inspired by Timbaland, her keys to songwriting, the message with her album 'In A Perfect World...', being a competitive person, putting what she learned in sports into everyday life, and not being able to wait for the world to hear her.
