Mary J. Blige contributed a column to Us Weekly describing her marriage to Kendu Isaacs on December 7th. She writes, “When it came time to walk down the stairs and make my way down the aisle in my living room, I stopped breathing. I didn’t exhale until I got in front of the pastor and Kendu took my hand. That was the most memorable part, walking down the aisle. The song that was playing was one of min, ‘I’m in Love’, from the ‘Mary’ album. It’s among my favorites, and I thought the words perfectly described this wonderful moment: ‘When I reach and touch your hand/Sweet melodies began… /I’m in love’ is how the song goes, and when I grabbed Kendu’s hand, the music stopped. It was crazy.”
