Ashante Infantry of The Toronto Star was also at Mary J. Blige’s concert at the Air Canada Centre on Monday. Infantry said of Blige’s performance, “Two weeks into a three-month world tour, her voice is phenomenal. And Blige is a shadow of the greasy, combat-boot wearing, ’round the way girl who once challenged a journalist to a fight. She still has the tattoos and can bust a mean rap and a Cabbage Patch, but she’s finally grown into her voice, emerging a resilient, glamorous diva.”
