Mary J. Blige opened up about her difficult childhood in an article in the April issue of the Australia edition of Cosmopolitan. She writes, “The bad feelings I had about myself started as a child. At five I was molested – it had a traumatic impact on how I related to men as an adult and how I felt about being touched. It also made me confused about sex, which is why I ended up a promiscuous teenager. I’m not afraid to talk about it as I think it’s something women need to know.”
