Mathew Knowles Denies Rift With Beyonce
Mathew Knowles denied recent reports of family trouble, specifically that he’s no longer managing daughter Beyonce’s career. “I even heard somewhere that I tried to commit suicide,” Knowles told the Houston Chronicle. “It’s not true. If we spent our time responding to all the negative reports, we wouldn’t get anything done. Controversy does makes great album sales.” He also downplayed news that Destiny’s Child is history. “I hesitate to use the word that they’ve broken up,” he cautioned. “There’s a possibility that something might happen, but right now they plan to focus on solo projects.”
