Before heading off to America, the girls from Mis-Teeq spoke with Sky News about their hopes to crack the U.S. market, which has remained elusive for most British acts. Asked what their attraction was to the U.S. market, Alesha Dixon blurted out, “The money!” She continued, “It’s not that there’s such a big deal about America, it’s just we want to sell our music around the world. It’s a big place and we’ll need a lot of time. A lot of artists would record one album and then go to America, we’ve done two.
