The Sun reports bosses at Polydor are worried their key new artist Ms Dynamite is already fizzling out. Despite winning the high-profile Mercury Music Prize and collecting two Brits awards in February, the CD has shifted just 500,000 copies in the UK. “Ms Dynamite is the most talked about act in the UK at the moment but she hadn’t sold enough records to merit that publicity,” a Polydor insider admitted. “It’s all very well being billed as the hottest act coming out of the UK but that is no good if it doesn’t translate into sales.
