Princeton of Mindless Behavior sat down with Vevo Lift while at a photo shoot to talk about the group. “Being mindless is just being yourself,” he explained. “It’s just a lifestyle. You can life it everyday.”
“I think the best thing about being in a band for me is having good friends and cool brothers,” Princeton said. “I’m an only child, so coming into this group it was cool seeing three boys that love doing exactly what I love to do.”
Princeton added that he’s a big fan of being able to dance with the group. “My favorite part of the process is the choreography,” he said. “Growing up, that’s all I did was dance. I’ve known our choreographer Dave Scott since I was 6, so whenever I went to his masterclasses I always tried to immitate him, so everyone called me Little Dave.
Princeton cited Michael Jackson, Prince, John Lennon and Kurt Cobain as his musical influences, and said the favorite person the group opened for so far is Janet Jackson. “Probably because she’s an icon. She’s inspired a lot of people and she gave us great advice,” Princeton revealed. “She just said stay together and stay humble and you’ll go really far.”
