Jill Scott Marries
Launch.com reports singer Jill Scott recently married Lyzel Williams in Hawaii according to her spokesperson. Further details were not given but Scott had spoken earlier to the website about Williams saying, “Yeah, my finance and I were friends for several years before we started to date. We went to the club, we hung out, we danced, we shook it up, we drank, we partied. But we also went to carnivals, and we took long walks. I enjoyed his company so much. I’m glad I can say I’m such, so resounding blessed to have him in my life.”

Jimmy Cozier Visits Soul Train
Jimmy Cozier will be on this weekend’s Soul Train and the show’s website has a video interview with the singer & transcript where he talked about his decision to go out recording on his own after writing songs for BLACKstreet, Janet Jackson and others. Cozier says of his decision, “Well, I thought it was because I was equipping other artists with materials that were taking them to a great point in their career, and I felt that I could do the same thing for myself.” Read more.

The Sun reports Jamiroquai rocker Jay Kay has patched things up with British TV star Denise Van Outen as the two have rekindled their romance. The two split in January after being engaged earlier. Record Breaking Aaliyah Lawsuits Predicted
WENN reports a leading aviation lawyer, Kent Krause of Speiser Krause is predicting the death of Aaliyah will result in record lawsuits. Krause says, “Here’s a young woman who was just about to hit it big. In terms of a wrongful death action you’re talking about millions and millions of dollars she could have made over the course of her career. And someone’s going to be responsible for that loss.” Look for lawsuits in the millions if negligence is proved.

Destiny’s Child Inspire Knick Scoring Run
The New York Post reports Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child took to their courtside seats Wednesday with only 3 minutes left in the third quarter of the New York Knicks game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Somehow the appearance must have inspired the players, especially Mark Jackson, who hit two 3-pointers during a 12-0 run against the Cavs. New York went on to beat Cleveland 82-64.

Craig David Lands Best R&B Act
Craig David landed an award at the 2001 MTV Europe Awards Thursday night in Frankfurt where he told the crowd upon accepting the honor, “I’d like to say a massive thank you to MTV for putting my face on so many different TVs in so many different countries. Farrah Franklin Plans Destiny’s Child Tell-All
MuchMusic reports ex-Destiny’s Child member Farrah Franklin is planning an autobiography for next year which will detail secrets of her life in the group. Franklin revealed she always had gone by the name Destiny Frankiln until joining the group. They asked her to use the name Farrah. Farrah says, “This past year, I learned not to do things for money and glitter. I’m happier discovering this. I know what’s really true to me.”
