So as I see them running… Of course I wanted to run. But I didn’t have a reason for running. Until…

Fantasia Offers Encouragement To Top Three ‘Idol’ Finalists

Fantasia Barrino checked in with her Twitter followers (@TasiasWord) last night while watching the ‘American Idol’ results show. The season three winner hasn’t tweeted her thoughts yet about Joshua Ledet getting voted off, but did offer encouraging words to all three of the remaining contestants at the time. The 27-year-old writes:

Tonight will determine who stands for the finale on next week, but I want to say to all 3 contestants that you are winners no matter what
It’s American Idol time, tune in now folks.
Great start for the top of the show guys. You all own the stage every single time you approach it
I remember being right where the 3 contestants are tonight and I can never ever forget that moment.

Tank Summer Music Festival Tour Dates

This summer in support of his fifth studio album ‘This Is How I Feel’, Tank will hit the road on the ‘Summer Music Festival Tour’. The trek begins on July 13th at the DTE Music Theater in Detroit, Michigan and continues through the summer, wrapping up on August 11th in Los Angeles, California. The new set of dates sees the R&B singer taking amphitheaters nationwide, alongside such R&B legends as Patti Labelle, The O’Jays, Babyface and Maze. In July, Tank will head to New Orleans to take the stage at the 2012 Essence Music Festival, which also features performances from Mary J. Blige, Aretha Franklin, Keyshia Cole, Fantasia, Charlie Wilson and more. This marks the second consecutive year that Tank will take part in the three day festival, which celebrates contemporary African American music and culture.

John Legend: ‘X Factor’ Judge Britney Spears Can’t Sing

John Legend took a shot at some rival reality singing competition judges in an interview with E!. The entertainment network spoke with Legend and fellow ‘Duets’ judges Kelly Clarkson and Robin Thicke at the EW-ABC Upfront party. “You know it’s interesting. It should be very interesting. I don’t have much to say,” Legend said about ‘The X Factor’ adding Britney Spears and Demi Lovato as judges. “It’s interesting when people you know who are judging singing competitions when they aren’t really singers. It’s interesting.” Thicke and Clarkson had different views about the subject. Watch their comments below.

Mario Observes How We Celebrate Mother’s Day

On Mother’s Day, I paid very close attention to the world around me & consciously observed how we all celebrated our mothers. #MM
It was interesting to see what changes and additions took place in honor and preparation for celebrating moms. #MM
the grocery stores dedicated an entire isle for cards, flowers, chocolates and hearts with “MOM” printed on everything. #MM
Intersections of street corners were flooded with people selling flowers and teddy bears who could barely speak english. lol #MM
Bouquets & stuffed animals were doubled in price every store used the holiday to brand a product and solicit business. #MM

Jennifer Hudson And Sister React To William Balfour Guilty Verdict

Jennifer Hudson and her sister Julia released a statement regarding the guilty verdict given to Julia’s estranged husband William Balfour for the murder of their brother Jason, mother Darnell Donerson, and nephew Julian King. Balfour, 31, faces a mandatory life prison sentence. The statement reads:

We have many people to thank but our first thank you is to God, always. We are so grateful to prosecutors James McKay, Jennifer Bagby and Veryl Gambino and State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez and her team for their dedication and tireless work from the beginning. We have the best police department and they have been with us every step of the way. We thank all of the State’s witnesses who came forward on our behalf. We have felt the love and support from people all over the world and we’re very grateful. We want to extend a prayer from the Hudson family to the Balfour family. We have all suffered terrible loss in this tragedy. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in them that perish: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn upon them (2 Corinthian 4:3-4). It is our prayer that the Lord will forgive Mr. Balfour of these heinous acts and bring his heart into repentance someday.
