R. Kelly – ‘Happy People / U Saved Me’ Review

R. Kelly - 'Happy People / U Saved Me' album cover

Contributed by AdamBernard:

Has anyone ever done so much while surrounded by so much controversy? The R is back, but this time around he’s gone adult-contemporary and gospel on us. Here’s the gist of it, if you liked ‘Step in the Name of Love’ you’ll enjoy all of ‘Happy People’. The entire album is based around the same concepts and has a very urban adult-contemporary feel to it, almost like it’s already fit for play along side the 70’s songs of the same genre. There’s no ‘Bump n’ Grind,’ there’s no ‘Ignition’, there’s no ‘Your Body’s Callin’, it’s straight up steppin. This is both good and bad. Check out the review here.
