Rapsheet.com interviewed R&B artist Lina and writer Alan C. Page gave his thoughts on her debut album, “Stranger on Earth.” Lina talks about how the ‘N’ word’s usage has drastically changed over the years saying, “Other people around me use the ‘N’ word and I love what we as Black people have done with that word. Because that shows me, that’s proof right there of what we can overcome as a race. Because we took the value out of it and I have white friends now that call each other that. It’s just an evolution of where we came from, with utterances that have so much power.”
