Adele Does Want To Win A Grammy

Adele

Adele checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace (@adelelondon) on Sunday (December 7), reacting to a BBC report suggesting she would rather win a Grammy award for her fourth album rather than her debut. The British soul singer is nominated in four categories for the awards, which take place February 8, 2009 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Adele writes:

I do want to win a Grammy

There’s a piece that’s just come out on the BBC website, that suggests I don’t want to win a Grammy! That’s absurd, of course I want to win one!!

I was trying to say that I think a Grammy is musics Oscars. You win an Oscar when you give a performance of your life. And I find it hard to think of my album like that! I can’t be like ‘yeah I so deserve it’, that would make me sound like a prick!

I’m over the moon!
