Avant’s New Album Is A Letter To His Fans


Avant will release his sixth studio album ‘The Letter’ on December 7th. “A letter is what you write to people to tell them what’s going on in your life,” Avant says about the album title. “This album is a letter from me to my fans of what’s going on in my life, what’s going through my head and my struggles as a man.”

Avant is out with the video to his new single ‘When It Hurts’, the first release off the Cleveland, Ohio R&B singer’s upcoming self-titled album, in stores December 6th via Capitol Records. Watch it below.

Avant Signs With Capitol Records


After releasing four albums that have either gone gold or platinum, Avant has left Geffen Records and decided to sign with a new label, Capitol Records. “It feels good to sign with Capitol, they’ve shown that their dedicated to push their resources for my projects,” the 29-year-old said. “I look forward to a long lasting relationship with many, many hit records.” With production help from Rodney Jenkins and DJ Smurf, Avant will be releasing a new single in March and a full album in the summer of 2008.
