Charlie Wilson checked in with fans on his blog at MySpace (@charliewilson) on Monday (June 22), thanking fans for their well wishes after his father Bishop Oscar W. Wilson lost his battle with prostrate cancer. The R&B singer writes:

I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all of the kind messages and comments about my father passing. This has been a difficult couple of years, me being diagnosed with prostate cancer and now losing my father to the same disease. I truly appreciate the support both personally and professionally you have given me over my lifetime.
