Donell Jones Calls His Latest Album His Best

Robin Monheit of Venice magazine spoke with Donell Jones who shared his thoughts on his latest album ‘Life Goes On’. “I believe this is my best work to date,” says Jones. “The reason I say that is because this is the first time where I’ve had an album where everything is pretty much balanced. I have a lot of up-tempo and a lot of ballads. A lot of people know me for my ballads so I’m trying to give them another side.”

Jones said of the late TLC member and their collaboration on his hit ‘U Know What’s Up’, “‘It was incredible, I mean we didn’t really have a personal relationship but working wise she was a great person to me – she definitely helped out my career.”

Donell Jones Comes To Defense Of Michael Jackson

R&B singer Donell Jones has come to the defense of Michael Jackson following Jacko’s charge that the music industry and specifically Sony Music was racist. Jones tells Worldpop, “It is a little crazy how you can write and produce a lot of your material and you get a lot less of the money, I do think that’s a problem, I do think they need to fix some of that stuff.”
