Charlotte’s WCNC.com reports Fantasia Barrino was rushed to a North Carolina hospital last night where she was treated for a “medication overdose.” Sources at Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville say the ‘American Idol’ season three winner’s condition is not life threatening. The sources added that they were not aware of the type of medication involved, nor whether the overdose was accidental or intentional. Fantasia Barrino checked in with her Twitter followers (@tasiasword) with a message to the haters and the record company, indicating that she won’t be stopped, and that she could be another celebrity swearing off the micro blogging service. The ‘American Idol’ season three winner writes:

CNN’s T.J. Holmes paid a visit to Fantasia Barrino in Washington, DC recently, talking one-on-one with the ‘American Idol’ season three winner just before curtain call as she reprised her role as Celie in Alice Walker’s ‘The Color Purple’.
Fantasia opened up to T.J. about her childhood, surgery on her throat tumor, life lessons about fame, being functionally illiterate and working to obtain her GED.

‘American Idol’ season three winner Fantasia Barrino’s million dollar North Carolina home won’t be auctioned because an agreement has been reached with the singer. Charlotte-based attorney Larry Goldman, who represents a Florida based company who had been trying to get Barrino to repay money from a 2006 loan, wouldn’t provide additional details on the matter to The Associated Press. ‘Entertainment Tonight’ correspondent Kevin Frazier was on hand this weekend for the United Negro College Fund’s “An Evening of Stars,” which paid tribute to Patti LaBelle. Kevin talked with Patti about her outfit and receiving the UNCF’s Award of Excellence for her longtime support of the organization.
