Joss Stone: I’m Always Making Music
Joss Stone talked with ITN about the release of her new album ‘Colour Me Free’ and its title track, ‘Free Me’. The soul singer said she’s “always making music”, despite beliefs otherwise. “People think I wasn’t making music anymore and I’ve just buggered off to LA, which is not true,” Joss said. “I live in Devon, and I’m chillin, just three hours down the road, making music all the time. It’s just not up to me when I release.” Watch the brief interview below. (more…)
Joss Stone Hooks Up With ‘Party Boy’ Danny Radford
The Sun has a photo of Joss Stone cuddling up to Danny Radford and playfully licking the shirtless “down-to-earth party boy” at a Halloween earlier this year. “Joss and Danny are definitely an item now,” a friend told the British tabloid. “He’s been staying with her at her home in Devon when she’s home from Los Angeles, and they’re inseparable. He’d do anything for her and is totally devoted — she seems to be just as taken with him.” The full story at thesun.co.uk has since been removed.
Joss Stone Implores Americans To Vote
Johnjay and Rich of 104.7 KISS FM in Phoenix talked to Joss Stone about her work with Headcount.org, and hoping to get Americans out to vote. The DJ’s wondered what was up with a British singer trying to get U.S. citizens to vote before talking a bit about her habit of performing barefoot. “If you’re lucky enough to have a say, use it,” Joss said. “There’s millions and millions of people in this world that will be hugely affected by the decision made, and they can’t vote. I’m one of those people. All over the world, it’s a massive country that is very, very powerful, and there’s been a lot of bloodshed in the last couple years, and it’s been kind of sad for many many many people. So you have a vote, treat that as something very very special.” Stone added that she has no desire to become an American citizen or dual citizen, but has an interest in the election.

Joss Stone Recording Obama Campaign Theme Song?
The Sun reports Joss Stone has been asked by Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama to record a song to serve as the theme to his election campaign. “Joss is a big supporter of Barack Obama and was very excited to be asked to do this for him,” a source told Gordon Smart. “He sent a personal message asking her to get on board. He has always admired her music and thinks she is the perfect choice because of her unique appeal to black and white voters. She believes he is going to be the first black American president and she is honored to be a part of that.” Read more.
Mark Ronson Denies Rejecting Joss Stone
Mark Ronson checked in with fans on his blog at MySpace on Wednesday (July 16) to clarify comments he made in a recent interview, where the super producer stated: “I’m not the sort of producer that shags every artist he works with. I’ve said no to a very famous, white, bland and very boring English soul chick, whom shall remain unnamed.”
Ronson writes: “I hate commenting on this bullsh** but there’s some story going around saying that I refused the sexual advances of Joss Stone and also said she was some ‘boring, bland soul chick’ or something. let me set the record straight:
a.) I was definitely not referring to Joss Stone in that quote and b.) I’ve never actually met her. I’m sure she’s a nice person and she has a lovely voice so I wanted to address this rubbish story and apologize to Ms. Stone, who kind of gets enough sh** in the press as it is without being drawn into my tabloid drivel.
I hope you’re all alright.
Speak to you soon
