Puffy Signs New Edition To Bad Boy – Album In 2003

Associated Press reports the rumors New Edition would be joining Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs’ Bad Boy label are now official. The group is set to release a new album next spring, although it will be without Bobby Brown, who is trying to re-ignite his solo career. “New Edition carved the path for what we know to be R&B today,” Combs said Monday. “I look forward to working with all the members closely on their new album and reintroducing the world to a brand-new New Edition.”

New Edition May Sign With Puffy’s Bad Boy Label

MTV News reports New Edition is in talks with Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs’ Bad Boy Records label to sign a deal. Johnny Gill says that Diddy will in fact be contributing tracks to the group’s 20th anniversary LP, which is slated for release next year. “We’re going to be working with Puffy on the album,” Gill revealed. “He’s helping get the album together. He just came out to several of the shows. He’s such a big fan. I looked around and saw him at a few shows. He said, ‘I saw you guys and, excuse my expression, but y’all got me acting like a bitch. I’m here to take notes’.”
