Gary Graff of The Cleveland Plain Dealer spoke with Tyrese about his third album ‘I Wanna Go Back’, which is his first on Clive Davis’ J Records. The singer says he chose to go with Davis because the label was more attuned to the kind of music he wanted to make. “Sometimes it takes a couple of albums to figure out your niche,” Tyrese says. “I feel like I found myself and who I am, and now I can give the people what they expect from me. I told [Davis] about my concerns and what I wanted to do… and we’re doing it.”
