Usher Criticizes Chris Brown, Then Apologizes
Usher made an appearance on Jermaine Dupri’s Living The Life YouTube channel, where he joined those critical of Chris Brown for jet skiing in Miami and flexing his muscles for the paparazzi during a weekend he was supposed to be reconciling with Rihanna. “I’m a little disappointed in this photo,” Usher says about the shots of Brown appearing tone deaf about the seriousness of the situation. “After the other photo [of Rihanna's bruised face posted by TMZ]? C’mon, Chris. Have a little bit of remorse, man. The man’s on jet skis? Like, just relaxing in Miami?”
Usher also joined fellow singer Johnta Austin and JD’s assistant Tyrone in giving Christina Milian a tough time after seeing photos of the newly blonde singer watching the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Atlanta Hawks game at Philips Arena in Atlanta. “This is what happens when people fall out of the game,” Austin says in the video. “That’s Christina Milian looking like a damn fool.” Usher also called for a unanimous decision on that not being her ideal look.
The video has since been removed by JD and Usher has issued an apology to Brown. “The comments made during a recent recording session amongst friends were taken out of context and blown out of proportion,” a statement from the singer reads, according to MTV News. “I apologize on behalf of myself and my friends if anyone was offended. The intentions were not to pass judgment and we meant no harm. I respect and wish the best for all parties involved.”
