Usher Wins ‘Best Dance Video’ VMA
Usher took home ‘Best Dance Video’ for ‘Yeah’ at the MTV Video Music Awards in Miami on Sunday night. Usher said upon accepting the award: “As Diddy said earlier, make sure you all go out and vote. Vote or die. Yeah, man. Real talk, man. Listen, I want to thank God, my lord and savior, for giving me the feet and the rhythm. I want to thank my choreographers, all of my team on the road with me, Leslie, Kendra, Flo… I love you, too. I want to thank my team that keeps me focused. Tamika, KP, Mark. Did I thank the fans on the last one? (Cheers and applause) Well I’m going to thank my fans on this one for sure. Check it out, man. Listen, a long time ago I was a little — you know, obviously, a little kid, and all I had was MTV to look a to get a little motivation on how to move. I just want to thank Michael Jackson. I want to thank Jackie Wilson. I want to thank all of the classic performers that continue to just give me great motivation to make hot videos.
