Virgin Reneging Payment On Costs Of Aaliyah Funeral

According to the Drudge Report, the new issue of Time magazine will report that Virgin Records is reneging on a verbal agreement to pay the costs of preparation and transport of the bodies of and eight members of her entourage who died in a small-plane crash last August. This is leaving Butlers’ Funeral Homes and Crematorium in Nassau stuck with a $68,000 bill. Apparently the promise was made by former EMI chief executive Ken Berry and his wife, former Virgin vice-chairman Nancy Berry, who were each canned by the company.
